All apprentices engaged by Gordon McKay Pty Ltd are to be supervised by a competent tradesperson at all times. The "Code of Practice for Safe Electrical Work" and “Energysafe Victoria Supervision Guidelines for Apprentices Working on Electrical Installations" outlines the required measures to be adopted for the supervision of apprentices (trainees).

The level and extent of supervision required is largely dependent on three conditions.

All hazards and risks associated with the tasks to be undertaken are identified and controlled.
The individual apprentices' level of experience with the tasks being undertaken.
The level of experience the supervising tradesperson has with the apprentice under their direction.
