History

Gordon McKay established in 1953 when Gordon was contracted to install power supplies to farming communities around Geelong, in Victoria’s south-west. Agriculture was then the engine room of the regional economy but electricity was driving change.

The post-war industrial boom ensured the steady growth of Gordon’s business. More than six decades on and now owned and managed by his son Gavin, Gordon McKay is one of the largest privately-owned electrical companies in Australia.
