Yandin Wind Farm

The Yandin Wind Farm is one of Western Australia’s largest renewable energy projects, located approximately 175 km north of Perth.

Gordon McKay and Frontline Electrical were engaged to complete the electrical and mechanical installation of the wind turbines at the wind farm.

The project included the installation of 51 4.2MW wind turbines supplied by global manufacturer Vestas. The turbines have a hub height of 105 metres to maximise performance in the site’s specific wind conditions.

The project commenced in 2019, with construction completed in late October 2020. Commissioning began in July 2020, and the wind farm officially opened in May 2021.
