Bulla Dairy whole milk receival plant
Gordon McKay Pty Ltd was engaged by Metro Motion on behalf of Bulla Dairy to complete the electrical fit out of their new whole milk receival plant. A labour intensive project due to the short construction period and the constraints of working through winter.
The works undertaken included a new cable tray network, new submain to supply the main control cabinet, wiring and connection of all field devices, variable speed controlled pumps, vat level sensors and basic light and power throughout the factory.
The control and feedback from the field devices is via an Asi bus system and the data network is connected to the existing plant via a new fibre optic link.
The operation of the plant is vital to the milk supply industry throughout South West Victoria. Whole milk is received and separated into skim milk and cream with the resultant products dispatched to local industry for final processing into specialised products and consumer delivery.
