Our Winning Projects
Category 4 – Lighting “Pakenham Racing Club Night Racing Lighting”
Where the lighting achieves a high level of visual, technical and aesthetic excellence
Involved the complete design supply and installation of floodlighting to independently light the Turf and Synthetic tracks at the Pakenham Race Club. The club is now equipped with the latest technology in racecourse floodlighting and lighting control that allows for the safe and spectacular night thoroughbred racing for riders and horses as well as providing an enhanced viewing experience for track side patrons. Broadcast quality lighting for television coverage allows the club flexibility of operating hours to the racing industry.
Category 6 – Industrial Medium Project “Viva Australia Geelong Refinery”
Where the project value is greater than 1 million and less than eight million
Involved the electrical installation of two new High Voltage Switch-rooms including the complete replacement of all HV switch-gear, control and monitoring equipment, metering, field high voltage cable and associated low voltage cabling within a fully operational facility. Without any interruption to the refineries day to day operations the refinery is now equipped with the latest technology in High Voltage switch-gear allowing for safe operation, plant stability and reliability well into the future.
The pinnacle of the electro-technology industry is the annual Excellence Awards where our peers inspect, judge and recognise the industries year of outstanding works.
The awards are the ultimate recognition of being leaders within the electrical field. Winners have to show technical innovation, adherence to safety, delivery on on-time and on-budget, and meet many other challenging criteria.
There is a high level of competition in all categories and the state finalists and winners in these prestigious awards are recognised as being at the forefront of the industry in terms of best practice
This year’s awards held in the Crown Palladium Room, August 5th saw over 700 fellow colleagues, their families and guests celebrate the achievements, hard work and commitment of the finalists
